How to modify hosts file ? [IMPORTANT]

What's hosts file ?
The hosts file is a file used by the operating system of a computer when accessing a network such as the Internet for example. Its role is to associate host names to IP addresses. When accessing a network resource by domain name, this file is consulted before access to the DNS server and allows the system to know the IP address associated with the domain name without using a DNS query. The hosts file is in plain text and is usually named hosts. The changes are reflected directly. It is present in most operating systems.

How important this file ?
Everyone of you is using cracked softwares or applying patches to have PRO version, but updating those apps may omit patches' effects and return to Lite version. Thus, blocking receiving updates may be the best solution to enjoy PRO version without limits. The only way, is to modify hosts file by inserting servers' names into it.

How to modify hosts file ?
It's very simply. Just few steps to follow :

  • First, you need to check that hosts file isn't opted for read only purposes. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and uncheck 'Read-Only' if it's already checked.



  • Run Notepad as administrator and select 'Open...' from 'File' Tab
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Change 'Text Documents (*.txt)' to 'All files' then select hosts.


  • Insert servers' names and addresses then Click on Save
